Scoil Muire Banríon (Edenderry BNS) is a Catholic primary school, under the patronage of the Catholic bishop of Kildare and Leighlin and with a Catholic ethos:

Our school is a co-educational primary school with 200 pupils currently on rolls and a staff of 14 teachers and a School Secretary. It opened in 1959. It has enrolled Junior Infant girls and boys for the past two years.
The current Principal is Nicola McMahon and the Deputy Principal is Shane O' Looney. The school has an Administrative Principal, eight mainstream class teachers and five Special Education Teachers.
