Intercultural Day 2014

As part of our ongoing campaign to achieve our sixth Green Flag we held a successful Intercultural Day on Friday, June 13th. Here in Edenderry BNS we are happy to embrace and celebrate the many different cultures. Remarkably fifteen different countries are represented among our student body and our Intercultural Day was a showcase of all these countries traditions. In the lead up to the day itself each class completed a project and these projects were displayed in the school hall. Various foods from around the world were also on show and many of these foods were sampled by our guests. Also as part of the celebration many of our students wore the traditional clothes native to their country to school. Finally our students put on a show of traditional song and dance in the school hall which highlighted how proud we are of the different nationalities in the classrooms of our school. The day was a brilliant success and a big thank you to the boys and their families for making it so enjoyable.
