Scoil Muire Banríon (Edenderry BNS) is a Catholic primary school, under the patronage of the Catholic bishop of Kildare and Leighlin and with a Catholic ethos:
(a) Each human being is created in God's image.
(b) He has a life to lead and a soul to be saved.

Our school is an all boys primary school with 270 pupils currently on rolls and a staff of 16 teachers, 3 Special Needs Assistants and a School Secretary. It opened in 1959.
The current Principal is Seán Fitzgerald and the Deputy Principal is Muiris Ó Scannláin. The school has an Administrative Principal, ten mainstream class teachers and five Special Education Teachers.
